In response to our previous post about customers who are tweeting about bad music on hold and caller experiences at various companies, we are continuing to be the voice (pardon the pun) of callers. We are also starting to name the guilty parties who have bad music on hold or no music on hold at all. Let’s hope some of these companies don’t end up as repeat offenders. When 88% of callers prefer on hold messages vs silence, radio or elevator music is it any wonder that companies are ignoring their callers on hold experience?
Today’s bad music on hold offenders include:
Capital Hilton, Target, Geico, HSBC, Apple, Sirius, Fedex, American Airlines and Whole Foods
Nothinbuttreble: The Capital Hilton of Washington DC has by far the WORST "on hold" music of life... I'm dying over here!
katebfield: Target's "on hold" music is lame.
caitlindwarf: Geico should get better "on hold" music.
WashRinseRepeat: hsbc have had the same hold music on theiir telephone banking for at least 15 years
BrendLloyd: the music that apple is playing me while i'm on hold is horrible!
DaisieWilde:I have been on hold with Sirius Satellite Radio for 20 mins now. You'd think they would have better hold music.
joanne__xx: pretty weird never ending music on the fedex hold line
CatherineDold: American Airlines why does being on hold mean scratchy music that is not tuned in?
PantsMcCracky: On the phone w/Whole Foods. Their hold music is "I've Got Work to Do." Apparently they've replaced their Muzak with PassiveAggressivezak.
