How
do I know what type of Phone System I have and what
type of equipment to purchase?
There is a difference between a phone system and regular
business phones!
Phone System:
Phone systems are generally set-up for multi-line capacity, and have a main control
unit where all of the phone lines are connected...These are known as a PBX (Private
Branch Exchange) or KSU (Key Service Unit) control modules. You will find that
most PBX or KSU control modules are installed in a warehouse, drop ceiling, closet,
etc.. Most all newer phone systems, IP Based Systems, and approximately 99% of
older phone systems come equipped with the capability for "Music On Hold".
Our On Hold, Inc. Series Of Digital On Hold Players easily connect to the "Music
On Hold" port of your telephone system....Just Plug and Play and You’re
On Your Way!!! |

Standard
phones and Cordless phones...
or otherwise known as Analog
and KSU-Less phones or even newer model
phones with base units and cordless hand-sets are
phones that are generally purchased from an Office
Supply Store or Catalog and have the capability of
from 1 up to 4 lines. These “do not” connect
to a PBX or KSU, but simply connect to a regular
wall-jack (similar to a residential house phone).
These phones set-ups require are initially not set-up
for the capability for "Music On Hold" as
there is no control panel to plug an audio source
into. Fear not, as now small office and home office
businesses can still reap the rewards of "On-Hold" messaging
without having an expensive, sophisticated business
phone system. How? On-Hold,Inc. has a full line of
Digital On Hold Players With Built-In Music On Hold
Modules to allow you to easily add "Music On
Hold". In addition, we also carry a complete
line of stand alone Music On Hold Adaptors for Analog
and KSU-Less phones. Ask your On-Hold,Inc. representative
about the products that are right for you or email
us at: sales@onholdinc.com |
